My Ode to Spring. C. J. Black

February 1st. The first day of spring

Shrubs are already beginning to bud.

What a pleasure it is to hear the song bird sing

As you slowly ramble through your favourite wood

The stretch there is in the evenings

Gives one a spring in every step.

Soon the daffodil will bud along with all the winter seedlings

Folks are busying themselves as grounds they lovingly prep

Three months of watching nature do its thing

It really is a wondrous time, this season known as spring.

  1. Spring is my favourite time of year. As I watch the trees begin to bud and the daffodils and tulips come up, I feel myself coming back to life as well. It is a happy, hopeful, positive time filled with good energy.
