Frayed nerves.

Things don’t always play out as we would like

leaving little or no room, but lots of rope

just what is not wanted for this frame of mind

when for those who are inclined

to follow the bark of Black Dog

and question the reality of any God.

How to make them aware that there is

a hand of friendship, if they can find the strength

within themselves to go in search.

For the outsider looking in all they see is a dark veil

a veil of evil a devil in disguise.

Never having been in such a position

it is hard to quantify the feeling

of utter disbelief, we can of course offer

to sit and share in their grief, yet respect their right to privacy.

Which is where this poem should end.
