Observed while –

Sitting in a comfortable wicker chair

Looking out to sea

The area, dotted with elegant thatched cottages

Fishing trawlers sitting on the horizon

Those tied up in  the harbour bobbing, awaiting a crew

The call of seagulls overhead seeking scraps

While the tourist, with collar up against the biting wind

shelter their ice cream cone

Others are content to dine indoor on fresh fish and chips.

      1. Thatch + fish ‘n chips = KQ! May try and get down then one Saturday but the problem with me is I might want to chat more than write 🙂

      2. Time for both, it was my first venture to this particular session, there is on the second and fourth Thursday of each month a gathering of the Gorey writers group in the library for more info check Gorey writers Facebook page.
