Talk to your poem

Today, feeling as though he was defending
Every side of the fort
Alone
Being bombarded by the alphabet.

Taking a few deep breaths
Relaxing
Soon the pounding
Became music to his ears.

There is a place within
That can give respite
Talk your panic down
Retrieve those reins
Allow whatever is out there
Open the door and enter
In this moment
Is where we live, where
Pen and writer
Perform in unison.

If what is written today is to be twaddle
Let it be the best twaddle of your day.
