Ten minute writing challenge. Poetry from the pen of

~The Poet’s Poet~

Ever tried it?

Trusting where the thread of his thoughts would lead

He allowed his pen to freely spill its ink

Page began to see new life

Relief was palpable as he inscribed

He had no inkling where this poem might end

Or even if it would have the form of a poem

End it would when finally penned

The ten minute writing challenge

Is indeed not a challenge in a sense

It sets the mind on track

Releasing thoughts, an exercise if you would

A way of releasing tension

Which he had not realised was festering

Fester may not be the expression

How he was feeling within

But whatever it was

This was a way of releasing

By flooding a blank page with words

Of course he could call it what he wishes

As the clock has just beaten him

It is up to who ever read to…
