Dappled shadows

Pay Yassy a visit, you’ll be glad you did.

On soundless feet, he stalks his prey
Camouflage gives reinforcement
Environment helps him slay
Blessed with a regal endorsement
With cracking roar makes his statement.

Undisputed king of his terrain
Predator that should not be enchained
From illegal poaching abstain
Their survival major campaign
To preserve, conserve and sustain.

Working in unison.

On this blank page, as my fingers move

They make indentations in each groove

Sowing seeds between each line.

At first there are many muddled thoughts

Some, at this time will come to naught

At a future date, they will be resurrected.

In the future into poems injected

Sewn into the fabric of a page

Perhaps give comfort, even outrage.

They, like the writer will never know their fate

Until the writer sits down to relate

Then, with a sudden sharp jab of pen on page

A stage is set, a page is printed

The dark recess of the mind spilled out

A reason always to enter the darkness of the poetic mind.

Good vibes.

Don’t get stressed over what you can’t control.

When an wherever, possible positives extol.

Continue drinking out of the feel good factor glass.

Given time yes the stress will pass. Talk, talk away

Don’t walk, walk away.

The listening ear will never disappear.

There are more good people in the world than bad

Seek them out should you feel lonely or sad.

Bury negativity, embrace positivity.

Reach out the hand of friendship to those who are in need.

You will benefit always from doing a good deed.

Illegal substances and alcohol may for an instant kill the pain.

If you partake, learn from your mistake, there is no way you can gain.

Remember always you are never alone with your fears.

Learn to live with the black dog and don’t get stressed

Over what you can’t control.

When and wherever, positives extol.

*Good vibes, a poem from “Same Train, Different Track”

Attempting an acrostic.

Well now, no need to remind one and all that we have reached the hump of the week

En Bloc let us raise our coffee cup in celebration

Deliberate on the subject we might wish to write about

Needless to say I am subjected to write an acrostic poem

Easier said than done I don’t mind saying

Still, perseverance will win out?

Doubting yourself no matter the field of activity you dabble in is

cul -de -sac we should try to avoid at all cost?

You’ll see the benefit of striving for that goal come close of business Wednesday.

Never contemplate can’t.

The thought crossed his mind

As he moved along the motorway

On reaching the next park and rest

He indicated and parked up

Yes it was time to park and bark out loud

He then wrote

What thoughts go through their minds

As they speed along life’s highway

Do they never stop and think –

Stop, write what you wish to say

Or is it they just allow the mind to roam

In the land of –

Time and tide waits for no one

Should we not try and stem the tide?

Allow some time for contemplation

Indicate for indication

Park, rest awhile, relax, unwind

This hectic everyday life needs relaxation

We all deserve to treat ourselves

Aid our concentration, allow the mood music

assist us find our time for silence and inner peace

Then with pen and paper engage –

A poem you will transcribe onto a blank page.

Before turning the first page.

Words are visiting the Man Shed

Legends, he thought

They move across his line of vision

Unleashing themselves.

He mops his brow, stops fretting

Time for a shot of caffine

Photographing in his mind

What it is he wishes to say.

Now his cup overfloweth

Boltholes closed

Words, lightening conductors

Lurking in all corners of the mind.

Angling for a way out

Anxious to make a statement

Being under the microscope

On top of his game

Creating memories, is what he is about

Painting a rainbow of words.

Moving through the good and bad moments

Cascading onto a blank page

Filling those gaps with poetic thoughts

He bows, bends a knee

Salutes those words which came to visit

As the sun balloons in the sky

Contented he closes his copybook.

For every problem there is a word fix.

Though I am old with a sometimes wandering mind

Never blind enough though to see what the day requires

The writers mind may wander down many different roads

With persistence comes rich rewards.

A word from my younger days. Not today or yesterday

Coaxiorum, still when called upon bears the seed to succeed

It may well have been a nothing word, but it worked at the time

When syrup of figs was dished out, to work its oracle?

Now whenever I want to get ahead of the posse

Beat words at their own game I, coax them

By pouring ink into inkwell, refilling fountain pen

Lay thoughts on a page, unafraid to bare my soul.

Problems shared are problems halved

Which can be achieved even for the lonesome writer

I may think I am alone, which is absolutely absurd

For with pen in hand, a virgin page, a poem is built word on word.

Go on give it a try.

Live life with a smile

This will assist you

As you walk that weary mile

A door never closes

But another opens

Live life with a smile.

Live life with a smile

Bring happiness with you as you go

That burden may be heavy

Stand upright, face that foe

Turning your back is not the answer

Live life with a smile.

Live life with a smile

Learn not to recoil

As you step out into a new dawn

Smile instead of yawn

You have made it through another night

Live life with a smile.

Live life with a smile

Although at times it’s burdensome

That cross we have to bear

There is always someone less well off

Their cross they may wish to share

Live life with a smile.

Live life with a smile

Spread the happiness within you around

Put a spring in your step as you go

Chin in, chest out, give that cheery wave

That may be all it takes, a life to save

Live life with a smile.
