Jokers Wild.
C. J. Black.
With word of welcome and glad surprise
A long lost friend made contact
He had hit the jackpot and had just claimed first prise
I joked is it the mick you’re trying to extract.
If true it was sweet music to my ears
For years we had been as twins
It’s true I shed sheltered tears
For he who dares eventually wins.
He was a gambler, who played for high stakes
Always with legally borrowed money, understand
He was a fearless gambler who rarely made mistakes
This day at the poker table – he was dealt that ace high hand.

Yes, thank you. It was a challenging project but very interesting. I loved it. Wrote 7 – 8 hours every day for 7 consecutive days. I loved working on it, the client loves the finished product and I managed to turn it over to the designer a day ahead of schedule.

I live in NV and we completely avoid the gambling venues…except for a good dinner or show! Good luck with NaPoWriMo. Great start.

Thank you Victoria,
It may have read like a truth but honestly it is pure “poetic” fiction, if I were to write truth I’d have starved to death many moons ago.
